About us:

As you know we live in The Netherlands, also internationally called Holland. To be more precisely: we live in a town called Rijssen, in the middle east of the Netherlands, about 40 km from the German border, and about 130 km from Amsterdam. The whole eastern area of the province (Overijssel) is also called "Twente", from which Rijssen is also called "the Gate of Twente".

We were both working in the Information Technology sector, which is actually what brought us together. We regularly get the question how we met, and how we could end up together: a girl from Siberia with a guy from the Netherlands. Well, let's try to explain briefly as it's a rather funny story:

We were both working for the same company; Chris in the Dutch office; Anna in the Israel office. We didn't meet each other before (-except a single business phone call-, but Anna did actually meet and help Chris' colleagues when they were in Israel for a business visit. She seemed to have left a good impression, cause these colleagues remained in touch with her through mail and MSN.

Chris - still single and dedicated to his work and colleagues was pretended to be an easy victim for a joke of his colleagues: they abused his mailbox to send a funny mail to Anna, pretending Chris was deeply in love with her. Well, Chris wasn't that easy to catch, and figured out what they tried, so as a polite person he informed Anna about the abuse and both kept silent on this happening.

As a nice twist in live (coincidence or faith?), Anna had to visit the office in Holland shortly after, and of course visited the colleagues she met before. This was celebrated with a diner which Chris also joined. After the diner Chris brought Anna back to the hotel, and both talked about their live stories on the way.

To keep the story short: the link was set, and "in secret" they met a few more days before Anna's return to Israel. Shortly after, their love was made known to the "bastards" who set them up initially, and what we have nowadays together is initially thankful to some failed bad joke! ;)

About 1 year later (September 1999), Anna sold her brand-new apartment (she owned the key for just 1 day!) in Israel  to move to the Netherlands and live together with Chris. On 30th of March 2000 they got married and lived for 3 years in Ede before they decided to relocate to Chris' hometown, back to the area where most of their friends and family live.
